ZINC ELECTROPLATING

Precision Coating for Threaded and Small Components

At Progress Galvanizing Pte Ltd, we are proud to expand our surface protection capabilities with the introduction of zinc electroplating services, complementing our core hot-dip galvanizing operations. This new service is designed to meet the growing demand for precision coating solutions, offering both functional corrosion protection and a clean aesthetic finish for a wide range of industrial components.

One of the key advantages of zinc electroplating lies in its suitability for threaded fasteners such as bolts and nuts. In hot-dip galvanizing, the thick zinc layer—often higher than 85 microns—can clog threads, preventing proper assembly and requiring additional processes like rethreading. Zinc electroplating avoids this issue by depositing a much thinner and uniform coating (typically 8–12 microns), allowing the fasteners to lock properly without compromising fit or strength.

Additionally, our zinc electroplating process is finished with a blue passivated surface, which not only enhances corrosion resistance but also gives the product a sleek, professional appearance suitable for visible or exposed applications.

Ideal Applications

Our zinc electroplating service is ideal for components such as bolts, nuts, washers, threaded rods, fittings, and small hardware where both corrosion resistance and appearance are critical.
